How to Share Your Faith without the Awkwardness
August 2025
Most believers know the tension: we should be sharing our faith, but we don’t always know how. We feel the pressure to say something, but when we don’t, guilt creeps in. And when we do try, it can feel forced, scripted, and…well, awkward.
For a lot of us, when we think of evangelism, we think of walking up to a total stranger and awkwardly fumbling through a complex explanation of sin, hell, and Jesus. It feels like you’re pitching a product or like you’re a car salesman trying to close a deal. And let’s be real—nobody likes being sold to.
But it doesn’t have to be awkward or sales-y. In fact, one of the most natural ways to share your faith is by just openly talking about what God is doing in your life.
It doesn’t have to be a sermon. You can just talk about your everyday life, like:
- “Parenting is exhausting, but I keep praying for patience—and I can honestly say God’s given me strength I don’t have on my own.”
- “Being diagnosed with cancer was obviously hard, but I have peace knowing God is in control and has a plan for me.”
