Junko Saito #315
Despite growing up in a country that’s only 1% Christian, Junko came to faith in Japan after reading a Bible from a local church. Wanting to serve God with her life, she started working in ministry, and God kept opening doors for her to move to Long Beach, California where she discipled Japanese students for 15 years. When our Long Beach team started consolidating, she relocated to Atlanta in 2023. Her ministry looks a little different now that she’s in the Bible Belt where churches are already actively reaching out to Japanese communities. But God is using her in powerful ways as she connects with Japanese moms who are searching for friendship, community, and hope in a new country. Since Japanese people in the US are often more open to spiritual conversations than they would be in Japan, many women are eager to ask her questions about Jesus and study the Bible with her. Thanks for partnering with Junko in reaching Japanese people while they’re most open!
