Audio Players for Evangelists #7866
Our crisis response team cares for disaster victims on three levels: physically, spiritually, and emotionally. As our Crisis Response director, Barb Wooler says, “Of these three kinds of needs, caring for the emotional needs of trauma survivors has proven to be the most challenging.”
Healing emotional wounds is especially difficult in Central Africa, where being “tough” is key to survival, and expressing emotions is viewed as a weakness. That’s why we are supplying 200 evangelists with solar-powered audio players pre-loaded with trauma care lessons and discipleship materials.
These audio players will help educate Charis evangelists and are capable of playing loud enough for crowds of 100 people. While this isn’t the full “answer” for trauma care, we think it’s a fantastic start! Thanks for investing in the emotional health of African trauma victims by contributing to this fund.
