Imagine living in a district that is constantly being ravaged and torn apart for its natural resources. Opposing armed forces regularly engage in conflict here, while civilians suffer from all kinds of abuse, lacking basic necessities for survival. To top it all off, this area is predominantly Muslim and closed-off to any help that Jesus followers have to offer.
Meet Vakaga—a region of the Central African Republic (CAR) where this is the unfortunate reality.
Yet despite these impossible odds, God recently used the prayers of our ministry partners to heal a sultan’s daughter, flinging the doors wide open for ministry there! This was a truly miraculous event, and now is our chance to blast the region with God’s love. As we strive to reach this district with Jesus, we’ve strategically decided to set up holistic ministries that will provide education, healthcare, and clean water.
Since gaining entry to the region, our ministry partners have opened a school where 1,200 elementary students are being taught the gospel. The school currently meets in a temporary facility, but now God has provided our movement with a plot of land where we can build a permanent campus. The new campus would include 10 classrooms and an office building.
Help us raise $230,353 to build the school’s five buildings and continue teaching the gospel in this least-reached region.
Instability in the region has led to the closure of all health centers. The nearest hospital is about 250 miles away. The health needs are enormous, which is why God is leading our partners to start a health center there. This center would include a pharmacy, a laboratory, a consultation room, and a reception room. The staff would include an evangelist who can accompany the sick through prayer, encouragement, and the discovery of God’s Word.
Help us raise $54,353 to build a medical center that can bring God’s healing to this least-reached region.
Our ministry partners have a vision to drill five new wells in this region which would provide access to clean water. This phase of the project is currently pending, so stay tuned for more details.
Vakaga is in desperate need of God’s love, and now He has opened the doors for our ministry partners to serve the region with education, healthcare, and clean water. Thanks for considering partnership with us in this critical opportunity to share God’s love in a practical way.
