22 July 2024 – Thank you for your prayers over the weekend. They were heard!
As of late Friday night, all technology and services that Encompass relies on were fully operational. As of Monday morning, there is no indication that we experienced further issues over the weekend. We are aware that many people are still feeling the effects of this global outage. Flights were still being canceled and delayed throughout the weekend. Hospitals are still recovering in some places. We continue to pray for the quick restoration of vital services and for the people who are affected by them.
19 July 2024 – Encompass is aware of the current “global IT outage” related to an issue with Microsoft. We are actively monitoring the impact on our operations.
It is important to note that Microsoft Corporation has stated this incident was “not a security incident or cyberattack.” Further, Microsoft Corporation has indicated that the issue was identified and fixed overnight. However, downstream effects on Microsoft’s many global clients have caused some IT systems to continue to be down into Friday morning.
As of Friday morning, many of the systems Encompass relies on, including our web giving portal, appear to be fully operational. Nevertheless, Encompass’ emergency response team will continue to monitor the situation. We are actively working with our partners to ensure the security of your information and the continuity of our services to the best of our ability.
