With fewer than 750,000 Jesus-followers among Japan’s 125 million people, very few even have meaningful interactions with a real Christian. They’ve heard of Christianity, but don’t believe it has any relevance to them. The Japanese are also highly traditional and honor-bound to their ancient culture, making it hard for them to even consider changing. Yet when Japanese get to spend time with Jesus-followers who live in hope, care for others, and reflect joy, they want to know more.
Growing Encompass teams are using creative means to build meaningful relationships in Japan’s largest cities and smaller towns as they serve as the hands, feet, and voice of Jesus. The teams need different kinds of skills to strengthen their ministries to reach more Japanese people with the beauty of the Gospel.
You might be the answer to their prayers.
