One summer during their Vacation Bible School program, a church in Iowa decided to raise money to provide slates for the children at our Hand in Hand schools in central Africa. These orphaned kids don’t use paper but instead little slates and tiny stubs of chalk. The kids in the VBS program were excited about the project, and at the end of the week, they had raised enough money to buy over 600 slates! Seeing these kids’ excitement at the idea that they could help somebody else across the world is inspiring. Learn more and give to Hand in Hand Literary Schools in Africa!
