With so few Christ-followers in Japan, most Japanese people have never known a Christian or had a meaningful conversation with one. Everything they’ve heard about Christianity just seems to reinforce its foreignness. When they have the opportunity to get to know an American, they are intrigued—especially when a follower of Jesus exudes joy and love.

A growing team in Hokuto-shi is using adventure sports and art as a means to build real relationships with Japanese people, creating bridges to share the reality of Jesus with them.  Teaching English is another need in this beautiful area about two hours outside of Tokyo. If you are trained in teaching English, love Jesus, and want to share His love with people, God could work through you to bring Japanese people into His family.
