15 Jan 2025 – A memorial service for Susie Hobert will take place at the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church in Indiana on Saturday morning, January 25, at 10:00 AM. Calling hours will be in the late afternoon on Friday, January 24. We will pass along more details when available.

8 Jan 2025 – It is with much sadness—but hope in Christ—that we inform you of the homegoing of Susie Hobert, wife of Dave (Hobie) and long-time Encompass missionary to France. The Hoberts were in Portugal for our Global Staff Conference when Susie unexpectedly died from a heart attack on Tuesday evening, January 7 (Portugal time). Dave has been accompanied the entire time by dear friends and teammates from Encompass. Please pray for Dave, for the entire Hobert family, for the Encompass staff, for French believers and churches, and for a wide circle of friends, supporting churches, and supporters of their ministry across the Charis Fellowship. Details will be forthcoming concerning plans to celebrate Susie’s life and impact. We trust in the resurrected Jesus to comfort our hearts as we grieve and to encourage our hearts with our hope in Him.
